Legacy defeats Minot North, 3-0

MINOT - Legacy opened their Western Dakota Association season with a decisive 3-0 victory over Minot North on September 1. The Sabers' net play was outstanding, recording 14 blocks. Marlee Falcon led the way with four while three other players recorded 2.5 blocks. Despite the sweep, two of the sets were tightly contested, decided by four points or less, highlighting the competitive nature of the match.
Minot North displayed resilience throughout the match, pushing Legacy to the limit in two of the sets. The Sentinels were led by Elli Laskowski and Brynn Francis who were double digits in kills. Legacy improved to 1-0 in the WDA and 4-3 overall, while Minot North fell to 0-1 in the conference and 2-5 on the season.
Looking ahead, Legacy will face Minot, who holds a 5-1 overall record, on September 3. Minot North will seek to rebound against Williston, currently 1-6 overall, on the same day.
