DICKINSON - Bismarck High continued its solid start to the season, picking up a sweep over Dickinson in the WDA opener for both teams on Sept. 1 at Dickinson High School. The win improved the Demons record to 6-1 overall and 1-0 in the Western Dakota Association. Dickinson fell to 1-6 overall and 0-1 in the WDA.
Cameron Braun led the Demons with seven kills, showcasing Bismarck's depth as seven different players registered at least one kill. The Demons' defensive strength was evident with a total of 10 blocks, preventing Dickinson from building any momentum.
The match highlighted Bismarck's cohesive team play, with contributions across the board. The Demons' ability to control the net and maintain pressure was key to their success.
Bismarck will face Century (1-0 WDA, 3-4 overall) on September 3, while Dickinson will look to regroup against Minot North (0-1 WDA, 2-5 overall) on September 5.
