Event Recap
JAMESTOWN - Williston's 108 team score was good for runner-up honors at the annual Jamestown Originals Meet held at Parkhurst Recreation Area north of Jamestown on Aug. 22. Hillsboro-Central Valley claimed victory with a score of 95. West Fargo Sheyenne was third. Fargo Shanley fourth with 138, and Bottineau fifth at 206. Mandan finished sixth with 219 points, Minot High seventh at 254, Bismarck High 10th with 358, and Dickinson 11th at 402.
Claire Grinde from Hillsboro-Central Valley was the individual winner, finishing the 5,000 meters in 18:10. Hayva Weisbeck of Mandan finished third at 19:07 to pace WDA runners. Kynslie McCoy from Williston was ninth at 19:53.
The meet featured 186 runners and showcased strong performances from WDA schools. The warm and sunny conditions made for an excellent day of competition.
