*This was the 46th season of WDA-sponsored play. *Minot High won its ninth WDA regular season title and third in a row. *Minot High won its third West Region Tournament in the past four seasons. *Minot High won its third Division AA state championship. *Minot High, Century, Mandan and Legacy were state qualifiers. Minot, Century and Mandan won its quarterfinal games. *Legacy advanced to its 11th-straight Class A Tournament. The Sabers placed fifth. *Mandan advanced to the state semifinals for the first time since 2020. The Braves finished third and was the lone team to defeat state champion Minot High during the season. *Dickinson changed its nickname/mascot to the Mavericks. *Watford City qualified for the Division A state tournament, placing seventh. It was the Wolves’ first state tournament appearance since 2023. *Minot High’s LeeLee Bell was W. Region and state senior athlete of the year. Postseason Results

The 2025-26 girls' basketball postseason for WDA Division AA teams began with West Region Tournament play. Two play-in games were held Feb. 27. Quarterfinal play was March 5 at the Bismarck Event Center. Loser-out and semifinals were held on March 6 with two state-qualifiers and championship on March 7. The top four place winners advanced to the Division AA Tournament.

The 2025-26 girls' basketball postseason for WDA Division A teams began with Region Tournament play, Feb. 23-26. The Region 3 Tournament was held at the Minot State Dome while the Region 4 Tournament was held at Standing Rock High School. Participating WDA teams were TMCHS (Belcourt) in Region 3 and Watford City in Region 4. The top 3 finishers in each respective region advanced in the postseason.

 The 2025-26 girls' basketball Division A state qualifying games was held Feb. 28. The second place and third place finishers from Region 3 and Region 4 participated in games hosted by Bismarck Public Schools.  The second place and third place finishers from Region 1 and Region 2 participated in games played at Mayville State University. The 2025-26 girls' basketball Division A state tournament was hosted by Jamestown Public Schools and held March 5-7 at the Jamestown Civic Center. The four region tournament championships were be joined by four state-qualifying winners.
